of Donovaly is 1000 m and the locality offers many sports activities as
entertainement events during all the year. Active persons can take part in
courses of paragliding or pass touristic traces on mountain bikes.
Touristic life in this village culminates in the winter because of its
stable snow condotions that belong to the most attractive ski centers in
Slovakia. Ski terrains provide great conditions for skiers of all
categories , from the beginners to the devotees of adrenaline hills. |
| The dominant of this locality is
three-chair-lift following to the Nová Hoľa (1360 m), its length is 1325 m
and capacity of transported persons is 1305 per hour. Except the chair
–lift, there is 14 ski-lift on hand with capacity of 10.050 transported
persons per hour. Nowadays, there are 10 down-hills treated. Preparedness
of ski –traces provideded by the team of educated workers using very
efficient machines Kassbohrer. |
| Artificial snowing is standard on
down-hills Nova Hoľa and Záhradište that provide great condotions also for
hale skiers and admirers of touristic skiers. |
| Donovaly offers possibility for runner
skiing with tracks of 50 km. Schooling of climbing, ski alpinism, guiding
for alpine tourism is provided in the winter in cooperation with Mountain
Rescue Service. |
| Enjoyment of the sojourn is also given
by SKI service with complete ski rental and ski school. |
| Winter season in Donovaly usually
begins on first of December and finishes in the end of April. Ideal
conditions for spring skiing are in March when there is beautiful view of
snowy and dazzled nature. Recreational sojourns in Donovaly have its spell
during all the year. The offer of facilities will assume any individual or
families. |

nice valley of the river Hron, surrounded by Low Tatras, Veľká Fatra,

spreads under the ledges of the mountain chain of Kremnica in the
northwest from Zvolen in the altitude of 290 m. Spa Kováčová belong to

oldest castles from the Middle Age in Slovakia, hidden in the woody east

upper and older from the twelth and thirteenth century and low from the
beginnig of the fourteenth century. |
